This policy supplements the Terms of service and applies to orders placed through this website.
Currency and order total
All prices and payments are in U.S. dollars. Before you leave ASTERKIND for PayPal, checkout displays the products, quantities, discounts, delivery charge, any tax collected by the store and total. The server recalculates prices and inventory; a price or total submitted by a browser is not accepted as authoritative.
Payment provider
PayPal processes payment. PayPal decides which PayPal, card, bank or wallet options are available for a buyer, account, device and location. A PayPal account may be required in some circumstances.
PayPal’s terms and privacy notice apply separately. ASTERKIND does not receive your PayPal password or complete card or bank credentials. PayPal provides transaction identifiers, status, amount and currency so we can reconcile the order and issue refunds.
PayPal may place a temporary authorization or show a pending amount before capture. The timing and display of an authorization are controlled by PayPal and the funding institution. ASTERKIND captures only the server-confirmed order total. Report an apparent duplicate promptly so transaction identifiers can be compared before a dispute or second payment attempt.
Order and inventory reservation
When you select “Continue to PayPal,” ASTERKIND creates an order using the products, delivery details and policies you approved. Available inventory is reserved for a limited period, normally 30 minutes. If payment is not completed before the reservation expires, the order may be cancelled and inventory released.
Creating an order number or PayPal order is not confirmation that payment was completed or that the order was accepted for dispatch.
Authorization and capture
After you approve payment on PayPal, PayPal returns you to ASTERKIND so the payment can be captured and matched to the saved server-side total. A verified PayPal notification may also update the transaction status.
Do not refresh, close or navigate away from the confirmation step while capture is in progress. If the browser closes, use contact & order help before attempting a second payment. Idempotency and transaction checks are used to reduce duplicate orders and duplicate captures, but you should report any duplicate charge promptly.
Cancelled, declined or pending payments
- If you cancel on PayPal before approval, no completed payment should be recorded and you may return to checkout while inventory remains available.
- If PayPal declines the payment, choose another option offered by PayPal or contact PayPal or the payment issuer.
- A payment may remain pending while PayPal performs a review. Fulfillment does not begin until the order is recorded as paid.
- An expired or cancelled inventory reservation cannot be paid; create a new order if the item remains available.
Fraud and verification
We and PayPal may review a transaction for fraud, sanctions, account misuse, address inconsistency or other security concerns. We may request reasonable verification, refuse an unpaid order or cancel and refund a paid order when necessary to comply with law or protect customers and the service.
Orders are limited to genuine consumer purchases. We may apply reasonable quantity limits and reject automated, resale, export or other high-risk orders. We will not ask for a PayPal password, card security code or one-time passcode through customer care.
Refunds
Approved refunds are submitted through PayPal to the original payment method. They cannot be redirected to another account. Refund eligibility, amount and timing are described in Returns & refunds.
After we submit a refund, PayPal, a card issuer or a financial institution may need additional time to post it. A partial refund cannot exceed the remaining captured amount.
Payment disputes
Use contact & order help first if an order, charge or refund looks wrong. This gives us an opportunity to locate the transaction and correct an error. Nothing in this policy waives a dispute, chargeback or complaint right available through PayPal, a payment issuer or applicable law.
